Agrupamento de Escolas Carlos Amarante 

The robotics club at Escola Secundária Carlos Amarante, is about 15 years old, initially had one associate teacher and has had three for about 5 years.

It does not have its own space, the space where it develops its activities is shared.

It was created essentially to motivate and add knowledge to students of professional courses in the areas of electronics and informatics.

During these years some basic equipment was created. Therefore, we have been working with equipment purchased on the market and we have developed our own equipment. Of our achievements we highlight a robot whose project is unique and entirely developed by the club whose electronic boards and parts were created, designed and printed in 3D. We are also proud to have developed a CNC, a project adapted from a Brazilian (what caught our attention was this use of common furniture slides, nuts and shafts, therefore not rectified) which we modified and adapted according to our knowledge.

We have participated in some national and local robotics competitions and in dissemination events.

We have been working essentially with the programming languages Basic, C, C++, Lego NXT and graphic language EV3 and Scratch.

We have used as control boards: arduinos, picaxe, raspberrypi, esp8266
